Hockey for Heroes embarks on Operation Last Post
Hockey for Heroes is currently undertaking their remarkable tour, 'Operation Last Post', where athletes are playing 54 hockey games and tackling 457 kilometers of endurance challenges in just nine days.
The goal is to raise £100,000 for Help for Heroes, providing support to British Armed Forces personnel and their families.
The tour began in Ben Rhydding, Yorkshire, and will conclude in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The challenges include rowing, swimming, running, and marches. Each kilometer represents a fallen hero from the war in Afghanistan.
You can still contribute to this cause by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/team/OpLastPost.
Stay updated on Hockey for Heroes' progress by following them on social media using the hashtag #OpLastPost. Let's show our support and pay tribute to the courage of our service personnel.

Match Report - Mens 1 vs Bourne Deeping 2 - 18th Feb
On Saturday, March Town Men's 1st XI played against Bourne Deeping 2 at Stamford. Although March had previously won against Bourne Deeping, the latter team fielded a strong side this time around. Vice-Captain Ross Ambler led the March team, which initially started slowly due to Bourne Deeping 2's ability to block most avenues.
However, the March defense, marshalled at the back by Jacob Fraser and assisted by Dan Robb, Barry Sidgewick, and Mark Saunders, held firm. In the first half, March managed to secure a 2-0 lead with goals from Ross Ambler and Matt Murphy. Jody Betts then scored the final goal in the second half, resulting in a 3-0 win for March.
Next week, March will travel to play against their local rivals, Wisbech Town. Currently, March has won 14 out of their 16 games this season, with only two draws, both of which were against the second-ranked team in the league, St Neots. As a result, March is 8 points clear at the top of the league, having scored 106 goals and conceded only 11. -
